Progress!

well after getting some lovely parts in the post today from Si my RAT is moving along nicely!

I really could use a proper overhead light though,so I think that will be my next "big purchase"

also I've decided that in order to rap this one up pretty quickly I'm going to use the LuciBox enclosure I had planned to put the Double Bazz into

should look pretty cool in a TGP kinda way!  :/

  1. Excellent!

I see you've socketed the diodes like I suggested... and the transistor too...

  4. 500k instead of 1M?

Is that for the Ruetz/lube control?

I think you mean 500r instead of 1k...

  5. looking good, I'm not bothering to socket anything on mine, but I know I'm after the classic rat sound, I have a nice navy blue box coming from banzai for mine. :)

  7. yup, that's the one... well my tone machine was built in the white one and there wasn't a mark on it, it's a beautiful case. I think they just say it to cover their backs because you know what some corksniffers are like, the slightest little mark on their case and they are crying about it. I guess it's just because they don't paint them to order and they might get marked slightly piled up on the shelves or whatever.. either way it's a really thick durable finish. The odd mark wouldn't bother me anyway. I have a red one coming for my fuzzface too. I'll take some close up pics when they get here so you can see.

  8. is that a tant bead cap you have in the top right? if that's one of the ones I've sent you that's 3.3uF (3u3) you need a 3.3nF (3n3)

  9. no worries mate, I'm glad I spotted it before you wired it all up in the case. I've done similar things myself... those tants are polarised too, if you look at the line on it there's a little '+' at the bottom to show you the positive leg, they are used as an alternative to electro's usually.
